The development of the Rainbow Haven Society was formally put into place by some congregational members from St John The Divine Anglican Church in Victoria, British Columbia. The parish is in complete support of this outreach work of this outreach group and partners with Rainbow Haven so that tax receipts can be issued immediately to donors. This is one of the many outreach projects undertaken by St John the Divine Church and is consistent with their concern to house and feed people who are less fortunate and unhoused. The important sponsorship and  administrative support provided by St John the Divine Church helps bring Rainbow Haven’s vision to life. It is an example of ‘ministry in action’ and is greatly appreciated by Rainbow Haven.
